No financial or professional advice
Kotse does not provide financial, lending, credit, legal, tax, accounting, insurance, investment, dealership, or other professional advice. It does not recommend a vehicle, lender, product, rate, term, down payment, balloon payment, refinancing strategy, or early-settlement decision.
General educational explanations, affordability tools, warnings, comparisons, and visualizations are not personalized recommendations. Consider your income, expenses, emergency savings, other debts, risk tolerance, legal obligations, and local rules, and consult appropriately qualified professionals where needed.
Estimate boundaries
Kotse calculates from the inputs and method you select. Results can differ from actual financing because providers may use different timing, compounding, daily accrual, day-count conventions, first-payment dates, payment allocation, rounding, residual treatment, fee capitalization, taxes, rebates, promotional conditions, or regulatory formulas.
Displayed figures do not account for every possible cost. Unless you explicitly enter them and select the correct treatment, results may exclude processing, bank and dealer fees, insurance, registration, valuation, documentation, taxes, add-ons, maintenance, penalties, late fees, returned-payment fees, settlement charges, and other ownership or financing costs.
Interest rates, APR, and effective rates
A flat annual interest rate applies interest to the original financed amount for the stated term. It is not equivalent to a reducing-balance interest rate, APR, annual percentage rate of charge, effective annual rate, or any jurisdiction-specific regulatory measure.
A reducing-balance estimate uses the periodic assumptions stated in the calculation explanation. Any effective rate shown is a mathematical output of that model and excludes fees unless expressly stated. It is not necessarily the APR or disclosure a lender must provide under applicable law.
Affordability, scenarios, and comparisons
A target-payment result, maximum vehicle price, down-payment optimizer, term comparison, dealer quotation comparison, or loan-to-value ratio is a mathematical scenario, not an assessment of affordability or suitability. Lower monthly payments can increase total financing cost, and a larger down payment can reduce cash available for other needs.
Comparisons are meaningful only when their assumptions and included costs are comparable. A difference shown against a dealer or lender quotation does not establish that either figure is correct, complete, cheaper, or more suitable.
Early settlement, extra payments, and balloon payments
Early-settlement and extra-payment tools model the loan balance under the selected assumptions. Actual providers may apply notice periods, lockouts, prepayment penalties, administrative charges, rebate formulas, minimum payment rules, or a different allocation order.
A balloon or final payment can materially reduce regular installments while leaving a substantial amount due at maturity. Kotse does not determine whether you will be able to refinance or pay that amount, and it does not guarantee that a lender will permit the modeled structure.
Currency and conversion
Currency formatting follows configured ISO 4217 minor-unit rules. Rounding can cause the final installment to differ from earlier installments so the modeled schedule closes without a residual balance.
If a deployment later displays currency conversion, the conversion is separate from the financing calculation. Foreign-exchange rates can change, and provider spreads, fees, timestamps, and settlement rules can produce different amounts. Do not treat a displayed conversion as an executable rate or guaranteed exchange value.
Exports and sharing
PDF, PNG, JPEG, and print-ready reports are structured copies of application-generated estimates. They are not lender-issued documents, approvals, commitments, contracts, invoices, account statements, or regulated disclosures.
Verify an export immediately before using or sharing it. The person who shares an export is responsible for its context, security, recipient, accessibility, and any later modification. Kotse branding does not authenticate user-entered data or third-party quotations.
Accuracy, security, and availability
Kotse is engineered for deterministic calculations, explicit monetary rounding, validation, and auditability, but no software, formula implementation, browser, device, or dataset is guaranteed to be free of errors or interruptions. Product updates may change supported features, assumptions, or presentation.
A calculation identifier helps distinguish outputs but does not provide cryptographic certification, regulatory validation, lender verification, or a guarantee that a report has not been altered after export.
Independent verification required
Before committing, independently verify the vehicle cash price, deposit, financed amount, interest method, nominal rate, APR or equivalent disclosure, payment dates, term, all fees, insurance, registration, taxes, early-settlement terms, default consequences, total repayment, eligibility, and approval conditions with the relevant financial institution or authorized provider.
Read the final quotation and contract in full. If a Kotse result conflicts with provider documents, do not assume Kotse controls. Ask the provider to explain the discrepancy and obtain professional advice where appropriate.
